Safety & Healing Justice

Supporting survivor-led strategies for safety and healing.

The New York Women’s Foundation invests in approaches that center survivors, especially historically overlooked survivors, to end all forms of gender-based violence and expand economic, healing, and transformative resources.

The power of early intervention

The power of early intervention

Early intervention in the cycle of abuse is critical to moving beyond relying solely on crisis responses. We invest in organizations that support survivors of gender-based violence with the tools they need to feel empowered to create new circumstances for themselves.

Safety, healing, and power

Safety, healing, and power

Our grantee partners advance transformative and structural changes to ensure that all women, non-binary, and gender-expansive people are safe. The Foundation also invests in survivor healing to address the consequences of violence and oppression on bodies, hearts, and minds.
